Mercury moves into Cancer on June 26th

Mercury moves into Cancer on June 26th at 5:24 pm PT where it will stay until the night of July 10th, when it moves into Leo.

In Cancer, Mercury is compassionate and potentially passive in its communication style, it can be defensive, nostalgic, sensitive, secretive, and traditional. When Mercury is in Cancer we can feel emotionally connected to our ideas and how we express them, but we can also be more intuitive, more creative in our communications, and more kind in the ways we address ourselves and others. During its time in Cancer, Mercury will make a series of helpful, clarifying, and informative aspects to other planets, but it will end its time in Cancer with a bang in the form of an opposition to Pluto, where we may feel the compulsion to dig deeper, know more, and uncover things that appear to be tucked away, but digging may not be the right answer, this time. As a last act in Cancer, mercury challenges us to keep to ourselves and wait through the difficult or triggering moments rather than getting loud at the first sign of information, only to end up wrong. Be kind in your communications, and use your voice to add care and empathy to the conversation!

June 29: Mercury in Cancer trines Saturn in Pisces (7°)

Mercury, following closely behind the sun, comes into a trine with Saturn as well and it holds similar themes. We have the ability to communicate and think through things that will help us to build something long-term. This is a great day to put your mind and your words to work for you in the name of something you are developing with care.

June 30: The sun in Cancer conjoins Mercury in Cancer (9°)

Mercury’s cazimi is a moment when we have particularly astute access to our minds and we may find that this is a good day to communicate important or sensitive things, handle certain kinds of details, and because of mercury’s emotional understanding in Cancer, we may be able to communicate our feelings very well.

July 1: Mercury in Cancer sextiles Jupiter in Taurus (9°)

Mercury and Jupiter work together to bring the details and the big picture into alignment. This is a great day to communicate big ideas, figure out the small details, and make sure that they’re moving in the same direction. We may feel more open to new ideas and different perspectives.

July 6: Mercury in Cancer sextiles Uranus in Taurus (21°)

Mercury and Uranus work together to provide an unexpected insight and change in perspective or some helpful news about what you've been working on.

July 9: Mercury in Cancer trines Neptune in Pisces (27°)

Mercury and Neptune make communication more of an inspired art form than a linear process, this is a great time to work with dreams, make art, sing, write poetry, or perform.

July 10: Mercury in Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn (29°)

When Mercury and Pluto come up against each other, we may find ourselves searching for the deeper or hidden meaning behind everything, we may feel paranoid and compelled to investigate when things feel “off.” Be careful not to get carried away, give yourself some time to sit with information before you jump to conclusions.

If know your rising sign, you can find the whole sign house that Cancer occupies in your chart, and see the themes Mercury will be activating during this transit.
