Overview of the 2024-2025 Astro-year
The astrological new year begins and ends in eclipse season, which is fitting because this year is full of big changes and energy shifts. This astrological year will continue the story of Aries/ Libra eclipses and move us into the eclipse story of the Pisces/ Virgo axis, with the nodes shifting signs in January. It will also solidify some of the big changes we’ve been making in the Taurus parts of our charts and brings new focus to the Gemini parts of our charts, as well as the tension that may be brewing between it and the Pisces area of our charts. Saturn will get closer to Neptune than it has been in quite some time and we will begin to feel the energy of 2026’s Saturn and Neptune conjunction. We are fully shifting into the next Pluto chapter, with Pluto moving back and forth over the line between Capricorn and Aquarius once more before beginning an uninterrupted stint of almost 20 years in the fixed air sign by November. Mars will station retrograde near the end of 2024 and we will review the ways we use our energy, our aggression, and our motivation in the Leo and Cancer parts of our charts. Then Venus will also station retrograde near the end of the astrological year, in Aries, and we will get a chance to review our values, our connections, and our expressions of beauty. Finally, the year will close out with our first eclipse near the south node in Virgo for almost 20 years—welcome to the Spring equinox!
